World War 2 Terms And Definitions
Question about the term "terrorism" and "terrorists", and how current applications of these terms, the effect of the entity
The Oxford Dictionary defines terrorism as the use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims and the Oxford Dictionary defines terrorist a person who uses terrorism to achieve political terrorism is a tactic, not a group or organization. According to these definitions, the American colonists fighting for independence would have been terrorists, U.S. participation in World War 2 would have been terrorism. My point here is that there are many conflicts "wars" occurring in the world and this is not new. So if the oppression, deprivation of vital resources, among many other ugly sociological conditions lead people to war, I have to ask two questions … 1. How can we distinguish between who is a terrorist and who is not a terrorist? 2. By giving people who feel oppressed violated labels or negative wave propagation we stop violence?
1) You can not tell who is terrorist and who is not. There are a number of extremists who feel do not listen. 2) I think it depends on an individual. If a person feels oppessed and / or raped at a point where you have to fight terrorism then yes these negative labels spread. If they are labeled as terrorists simply because of where you came from and not get angry. When you are angry, it is easy to hate.
